Investigation Agency efforts of Indonesian Independence (or in Japan: Dokuritsu Junbi Cosakai pronouncedDokuritsu Zyunbi Tyoosakai or Dokuritsu Junbi Chōsakai (独立 准备 调查 会?)) Is a body established by theJapanese occupation army on 29 April 1945 to coincide with the anniversary of years of Emperor Hirohito.The agency was formed as an effort to gain support for the Indonesian people by promising that Japan wouldsupport the independence of Indonesia. BPUPKI consists of 63 people, headed by the deputy chairmanradjima Wedyodiningrat Hibangase Yosio (Japanese) and Raden Panji Soeroso.
Outside BPUPKI members, formed a Board of Administration (sort of secretariat) consisting of 60 people.Administrative Agency is led by RPSoeroso, with representatives Abdoel Gafar Pringgodigdo and Masuda(Japanese). The task of BPUPKI itself is to study and investigate matters relating to poplitik aspects,economics, governance, and the things needed to attempt the formation of independent Indonesia.
On August 7, 1945, Japan BPUPKI dissolve and form the Preparatory Committee for Indonesian Independence or the (Japanese: Dokuritsu Junbi Inkai) with members totaling 21 people as a reflection ofthe efforts of ethnic representation, [1] consisting of 12 people coming from Java, 3 people from Sumatra, 2 people of Sulawesi, one man from Borneo, one person from the Nusa Tenggara, one person fromembarrassment, one person from the Chinese.
